what a verdict is
a verdict is a machine-assisted opinion grounded in live sources at the moment you ran the check, with the receipts shown so you can judge them yourself. it is not legal, medical, financial or professional advice, and it is not proof. when the sources don't hold, the tribunal says so instead of guessing.
what you agree to
you'll use bffr on content you're allowed to submit. don't use it to harass a private person, to build a dossier on someone, to launder a false claim as an official ruling, or to submit illegal material. don't scrape it, resell verdicts as an api, or attempt to bypass rate limits. accounts that do get closed.
accounts
you need an email to keep history. keep your login to yourself; you're responsible for checks run from your account. you can close your account any time in settings, which deletes your data immediately.
plans and billing
the first check is free without an account. bffr+ is $1.99/mo or $9.99/yr; bffr max is $3.99/mo or $19.99/yr. subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled, and renewal is charged to your payment method on file. cancel any time from manage subscription in settings — access runs to the end of the period you've paid for. plan limits (monthly checks and deep panels) are listed on the plan screen and are enforced per calendar month.
refunds
if a check plainly failed and you were billed for the period, email us and we'll make it right. purchases made through an app store are refunded under that store's policy.
sharing
when you create a share link, that verdict becomes publicly readable by anyone with the link. you own what you submit; you give us the limited licence needed to run the check, store your history, and render a share card if you ask for one.
availability and liability
the service is provided as-is. model providers and search providers go down, and a check can time out or come back unclear. to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months. nothing here removes rights you have that can't be waived where you live.
changes
we may update these terms; material changes get flagged in the app. continuing to use bffr after a change means you accept it.
